The Brand

Los Angeles Cowgirl was founded in October 2021 from a love of sparkles, western fashion, and standing out. Blending in is boring and not an option for our Cowgirlies. They turn heads everywhere they go and are the life of every party!

The Founder

Designer and Dancer, Heather Kelly, was born and raised in Rochester Hills, Michigan. From a young age, Heather's love for individuality and expressing herself was shown through dance and designing one of a kind items. Whether she was dancing, knitting, rhinestoning, or painting, she was always being creative.

Heather moved to California in 2013 to attend Chapman University. After graduating with her BFA in Dance Performance, she moved to Los Angeles to pursue her dance career. Heather has danced in several music videos, commercials, on Broadway in Tokyo, and on tour. Some of her credits include, Katy Perrry, Luke Bryan, Kid Laroi, Chris Brown, Two Friends, Dick Sporting Goods, and Capital One. While working as a professional dancer, Heather also explored her love for fashion. After working for celebrity fashion stylist, Brad Goreski, she was inspired and started her own styling business "Head2toe HK."

In summer 2021, Heather crafted her first rhinestone cowboy hat to film a country dance video. After her friend saw it, she wanted it for her Bachelorette in Nashville, so Heather ended up gifting it to her. The Cowgirls there were dying over her hat and Heather's friends convinced her to start selling them... and the rest is history! Heather has always loved dancing, playing dress up, and crafting- nothing has changed! She loves being original and expressing her creativity through art and fashion.
